Zundert es un lugar en el municipio neerlandés de Zundert, en la provincia de Brabante Septentrional. La localidad cuenta a 1 de enero de 2021 con 8.340 habitantes. Zundert se encuentra al sur de Etten-Leur y Breda a lo largo de la carretera Breda, al sur de Rijsbergen. El nombre 'Zundert' aparece por primera vez en un documento de 1157, en el que el obispo de Lieja confirma la donación de diezmos de Sunderda a la Abadía de Tongerlo. Las explicaciones del nombre como proveniente de la diosa germánica Sandraudiga, o bien aislada, son rechazadas en la actualidad. El significado se busca hoy en día en: sur-tierra, tierra en el sur. La actual aldea de Zundert ha surgido de la herdgang Groot-Zundert, que existía junto a Klein-Zundert.
