Hertme es una de las tres núcleos del municipio de Borne en la provincia neerlandesa de Overijssel. Tiene 520 habitantes y se encuentra en un entorno boscoso en la región de Twente, aproximadamente a siete kilómetros al norte de Hengelo. El teatro al aire libre, situado en el corazón de Hertme, es la atracción principal del pueblo. Desde mediados de los años 50 hasta mediados de los 60, el teatro al aire libre era especialmente conocido por los Juegos de Pasión de Hertme que se llevaban a cabo allí anualmente. Dos representaciones anuales que se celebran en Hertme, el Festival de África y Metropool Open Air, atraen a miles de visitantes de toda Holanda e incluso de Europa.
La iglesia católica de San Esteban, un edificio neogótico de 1903, es una de las primeras obras del arquitecto Wolter te Riele. En Hertme solía estar la casa señorial Grotenhuis.
