Hertme è uno dei tre nuclei del comune di Borne nella provincia olandese di Overijssel. Conta 520 abitanti e si trova in una zona boschiva nella regione di Twente, circa sette chilometri a nord di Hengelo. Il teatro all'aperto, situato nel cuore di Hertme, è l'attrazione del villaggio. Dalla metà degli anni '50 alla metà degli anni '60, il teatro all'aperto era particolarmente famoso per i Passionsspiele Hertme che vi si svolgevano annualmente. Due spettacoli annuali che si tengono a Hertme, il Festival dell'Africa e il Metropool Open Air, attraggono migliaia di visitatori da tutta la Nederland o persino dall'Europa.
La chiesa cattolica di San Stefano, un edificio neogotico del 1903, è una delle prime opere dell'architetto Wolter te Riele. In passato, a Hertme si trovava la mansion Grotenhuis.
