Gendt es una ciudad y el nombre de un antiguo municipio en Over-Betuwe y se encuentra cerca de Arnhem y Nijmegen en la provincia neerlandesa de Gelderland. Gendt está situada a orillas del río Waal, a cinco kilómetros al noreste de Nijmegen. Tiene 7141 habitantes (a partir del 1 de enero de 2009). Gendt recibió sus derechos de ciudad en el año 1233. En 2001, el municipio se fusionó con los municipios de Huissen y Bemmel en el nuevo municipio de Lingewaard (inicialmente llamado Bemmel). Además, el municipio de Lingewaard incluye los núcleos de Angeren, Doornenburg, Haalderen y Ressen.
