Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet es el primer 'outlet' de moda en los Países Bajos, ubicado junto al Markermeer en Lelystad. El outlet lleva el nombre del barco Batavia de 1628, cuya réplica se encuentra anclada cerca, en el astillero Batavia. El centro comercial es una imitación de una ciudad fortificada, completa con un robusto muro de ciudad, tres puertas de ciudad, calles empedradas libres de coches y una serie de pequeños edificios de madera con una apariencia arquitectónica casi auténtica, inspirada en parte en Marken y en parte en las colonias de las Indias Occidentales, donde el ‘Batavia’ nunca ha estado como barco de retorno espejo de la Compañía Neerlandesa de las Indias Orientales.
