Broek en Waterland es una aldea en el municipio de Waterland, al norte de Ámsterdam. Broek en Waterland cuenta con 2.745 habitantes. La aldea tiene una vista protegida del pueblo. El lugar cuenta con decenas de monumentos nacionales. La primera mención es de 1342 como Broeck y de 1420 como Broec en Waterland. La aldea era parte de la señorialidad de Waterland, que en 1409 se agregó en su totalidad al condado de Holanda, porque la familia Persijn se extinguió. Desde entonces, fue administrada por un baljuw, junto con las seis aldeas principales de Waterland: Ransdorp, Zuiderwoude, Landsmeer, Zunderdorp y Schellingwoude. Entre 1619 y 1811, Broek en Waterland formó parte de la Unión de Waterland.
