Hoofdplaat es un puesto de observación ideal sobre el Westerschelde. Aquí, en el Zeedijk y desde 'Tente Nolle', puedes tener la mejor vista. Hacia los lodos y marismas, hacia las focas tomando el sol y hacia las numerosas aves. En el Vreemde Vogelkade hay un telescopio para observar aves y focas.
