La Batalla de Mookerheide tuvo lugar al final de la tercera invasión de Orange el 14 de abril de 1574 entre el ejército español bajo Sancho d'Avila y Bernardino de Mendoza por un lado, y las tropas mercenarias bajo Luis y Enrique de Nassau por el otro. La batalla fue una victoria española y tanto Luis como Enrique de Nassau cayeron. En realidad, la batalla no tuvo lugar en Mookerheide. Los ejércitos de Luis y Enrique se dirigieron hacia el norte a lo largo del valle del Mosa. A la altura de Mookerheide, el ejército español aguardaba al ejército de los hermanos. Así que hubo algo de acción aquí.
