La Battaglia di Mookerheide ebbe luogo alla fine della terza invasione degli Olandesi il 14 aprile 1574 tra l'esercito spagnolo sotto Sancho d'Avila e Bernardino de Mendoza da un lato, e le truppe mercenarie sotto Luigi e Enrico di Nassau dall'altro. La battaglia fu una vittoria spagnola e sia Luigi che Enrico di Nassau rimasero uccisi. In realtà, la battaglia non ebbe luogo realmente a Mookerheide. Gli eserciti di Luigi e Enrico si spostarono lungo la valle lungo il Mosa verso nord. All'altezza di Mookerheide, l'esercito spagnolo attese l'esercito dei fratelli. Quindi ci fu comunque una certa azione qui.
