El Kervel es una finca situada al oeste de Hengelo en el Achterhoek de Gelderland. El origen de esta casa debe buscarse en una Havezate.
La casa fue probablemente parte de la antigua propiedad de Meyerinck, que a su vez era parte de la posesión "Ten Breule", una de las fincas más antiguas y probablemente la más grande de la zona. La primera mención del patrimonio Bruil en los libros de préstamos de Gelderland data de 1380 con Griet van Breule como propietaria. Meyerinck se menciona por primera vez en 1422. Un contrato de préstamo de 1465 aclara por primera vez que Meyerinck era parte de Breule.
