Un largo camino de arena entre la brea: una imagen idílica. Este Viejo Camino Postal ya existía en la Baja Edad Media. No es difícil imaginar cómo la diligencia de Hamburgo de Naarden atravesaba este paisaje. Entre 1664 y 1828, transportó a personas, mercancías y correo de Alemania a través de Amersfoort y Naarden, y con el barco de remolque hacia Ámsterdam.
