La Poelberg es un montículo de 0,5 metros de altura situado cerca del pueblo Zeeuws de 's-Heer Arendskerke. La investigación arqueológica mostró que la colina, antes de ser excavada en 1875, consistía en dos montículos, siendo el más grande de cincuenta metros de diámetro y el más pequeño de treinta metros. Los montículos probablemente funcionaban como el castillo principal y el castillo secundario, y ambos estaban rodeados por un foso de veinte metros de diámetro. Ambas fortalezas estaban conectadas por un puente de madera que se construyó alrededor de 1150. Es probable que en la cima del montículo más alto hubiera una fortaleza residencial de ladrillo.
