De Peel es una zona de turbera alta en gran parte desecada en la frontera de las provincias neerlandesas de Brabante Septentrional y Limburgo.
La zona de turbera alta se extendía aproximadamente desde Weert en el sur hasta Grave en el norte. Durante siglos, formó una frontera imperial.
