Workum es una ciudad neerlandesa en el suroeste de la provincia de Friesland. El lugar tiene 4.440 habitantes y pertenece al municipio de Súdwest-Fryslân. Se cuenta entre las once ciudades frisias. Workum está conectado por un canal de aproximadamente dos kilómetros de largo con el IJsselmeer y tiene varios puertos deportivos. Tradicionalmente, Workum vivía del comercio marítimo, la pesca y la alfarería, mientras que hoy en día el turismo y la navegación recreativa son muy significativos.
