Fort Sabina, la 'grande dame' de la Línea de Agua del Sur, es una de las fortalezas más grandes y mejor conservadas de Brabante. Junto con las fortalezas De Hel, Bovensluis (Numansdorp) y Frederik (Ooltgensplaat), la fortaleza Sabina formó un círculo alrededor de Willemstad. Un fuerte frente que nos defendió de los ingleses. También más tarde, Sabina abrazó a sus ciudadanos: les ofreció cobertura durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. En las décadas de 1950 y 1960, la fortaleza Sabina sirvió como almacén de municiones.
