Paulinapolder
En 1845, la Compañía-Pussemier de Assenede (B) drenó estas marismas. La polder lleva el nombre de la esposa de uno de los diques.
En el centro de la defensa se construyó un edificio de polder, El Pabellón, donde los propietarios a veces residían. Se construyó una granja en la joven polder.
Corto después de 1900, los descendientes de los diques vendieron las tierras y se construyeron más granjas.
En la madrugada del 8 de octubre de 1944, soldados canadienses desembarcaron en Paulinapolder para liberar West-Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. Ver foto.
