Sandnes es una ciudad y municipio perteneciente a la provincia de Rogaland, al sudoeste de Noruega. Tiene una población de 73 624 habitantes según el censo de 2015.[1]
Sandnes se separó de Høyland y se convirtió en una ciudad independiente en el año 1860. Posteriormente las ciudades de Høyland y Høle se unieron a Sandnes formando una ciudad mayor en enero de 1965.
