Castelo Bom es una freguesia portuguesa del concelho de Almeida, con 25,28 km² de superficie y 181 habitantes . Su densidad de población es de 7,2 hab/km².
A finales del siglo XIII, Castelo Bom formó parte de las posesiones del infante Pedro de Castilla,[1] que era hijo de Alfonso X de Castilla y de la reina Violante de Aragón. El infante Pedro de Castilla también fue señor de Ledesma,[2] Cabra,[3] Alba de Tormes,[4] Montemayor del Río, Salvatierra y Granadilla,[5] y también poseía toda la ribera del Río Coa y las villas de Castelo Rodrigo,[2] Sabugal y Alfaiates, que actualmente se encuentran en territorio portugués.[6]
