El condado de Chesterfield es un condado en el estado estadounidense de Virginia. En el censo de 2000 el condado tenía una población de 259.903 habitantes. Forma parte del área metropolitana de Richmond. La sede de condado es Chesterfield.[1] El condado fue formado el 25 de mayo de 1749 a partir de una porción del condado de Henrico. Fue nombrado en honor a Felipe Stanhope de Chesterfield, quien fue Secretario de Estado del Reino Unido.
Según la Oficina del Censo, el condado tiene un área total de 1.132 km² , de la cual 1.103 km² es tierra y 29 km² es agua.
