El SS Sultana fue un barco de vapor, construido en 1863 en Cincinnati. Sirvió en el río Mississippi, destinado al comercio de algodón.
Fue destruido en una explosión provocada por una caldera en mal estado el 27 de abril de 1865, constituyendo el mayor desastre marítimo de la historia de los Estados Unidos, con unos 1800 fallecidos.
