Hermagor-Pressegger See est une ville dans l'état autrichien de Carinthie. C'est le centre administratif du district de Hermagor. La ville est nommée d'après Saint Hermagoras d'Aquilée, le premier évêque d'Aquilée. Hermagor est situé dans la vallée inférieure de la Gail au pied nord des Alpes carniques, près de la frontière avec l'Italie. Au sud, le col de Naßfeld le relie à la municipalité italienne de Pontebba. Au nord, la route mène par Gitschtal dans les Alpes de Gail, à travers le col de Kreuzberg jusqu'au lac Weissensee et plus bas jusqu'à Greifenburg dans la vallée de la Drava. La gare de Hermagor est un arrêt sur la ligne de chemin de fer de Gailtal d'Arnoldstein à Kötschach-Mauthen.
