Zöblen est la plus petite commune de la vallée de Tannheimer et est traversée par la Vils. Le village est situé de manière compacte sur un cône de débris au nord de la vallée. La commune se trouve le long de la frontière avec l'Allemagne. Comme le village est proche de Tannheim, un modeste secteur touristique s'est également développé ici à Zöblen.
