La Banque Nationale de Belgique est la banque centrale de Belgique depuis 1850. Depuis le 1er janvier 2019, son gouverneur est Pierre Wunsch,. Il succède à Jan Smets.
Le capital social de la Banque, est détenu a 50 % par l'État belge. Les 50 % restants sont cotées sur le marché Euronext Brussels peuvent revêtir deux formes: nominative ou dématérialisée. La Banque nationale de Belgique n'est pas la seule banque centrale cotée en bourse.
