Sur la crête entre les deux passe une ancienne voie romaine. Cette route porte d'ailleurs encore le nom de Chaussée romaine (Heirbaan). Cette crête offre une vue sur tout Bruxelles (Atomium, stade Roi Baudouin) et sur l'abbaye de Grimbergen et, de l'autre côté, par temps clair, sur la tour Saint-Rombaut de Malines ainsi que sur le port d'Anvers.
