La forêt la plus connue de Zonnebeke est la forêt Polygoon ou Doelbos (68 ha) avec plus de 5 km de sentiers de randonnée. Elle est principalement composée de conifères, mais diverses parcelles de feuillus ont également été plantées. Deux cimetières du Commonwealth et quelques vestiges de bunkers en sont les témoins silencieux de la Grande Guerre. Dans les environs, il existe de nombreux bars et restaurants.
