La crique 'Platte kreek' et le ruisseau 'Zevengemeten' à Lapscheure, leurs berges et leurs abords immédiats se caractérisent par la richesse de la nature et ces paysages. Le Vanneau, la Foulque Macroule et l'Avocette viennent y nidifier régulièrement. Au printemps, l'endroit est fréquenté par la Gambette, le Chevalier Pieds-Verts et le Cul-Blanc.
