« Den Dikke van Pamel » (ou localement aussi appelé « den dikke ») est une figure célèbre du village de Roosdaal (Pamel). Son vrai nom était « Victor De Klercq ». Il naquit à Pamel le 14 juin 1848 et y mourut le 16 février 1885. Son poids réel est deviné, mais Victor était un personnage très large et lourd. Le 9 septembre 2001, une statue a été inaugurée à la Kaaistraat de Roosdaal. La sculpture a été conçue par l’artiste Patrick Van Craenenbroeck.
