Le château Groeneveld annex ferme est issu du soi-disant "hof Vroonevelt", une ancienne ferme de l'abbaye de Grimbergen dont la maison de campagne et la maison des paysans remontent au moins au 18e siècle. Le domaine quasi rectangulaire est situé au nord-est de la commune, sur la rive est du Willebroeksevaart, à l'ouest délimité par le canal et à l'est par la forêt de Kattemeuter. Accessible par une allée qui longe le domaine au sud et qui forme également l'axe central de la forêt susmentionnée à l'arrière.
