Sur la colline d'Edelare, le long de la route N8 Oudenaarde-Brakel, se trouve à Kerselare un lieu de pèlerinage en l'honneur de Notre-Dame de Kerselare. Depuis longtemps, la paroisse de Pamele-Oudenaarde gère ce lieu de pèlerinage. Depuis 1953, une bénédiction des voitures a lieu le jour de l'Ascension et il y a aussi une foire annuelle où sont vendus systématiquement des bonbons locaux, les lekkies, ainsi que du merlan séché.
La légende : Joos de Joigny, baron de Pamele, était allé à Jérusalem. En chemin, il fut attaqué par un crocodile. Il appela Notre-Dame de Kerselare et vainquit le crocodile. Joos de Joigny ramena le crocodile à Oudenaarde et l'accrocha avec gratitude dans la chapelle de Kerselaere...
