Le Peertsbos ainsi que les environs du Groot Moerven font partie du réseau de randonnée de la Kempense Heuvelrug.
Le Peertsbos est une forêt de feuillus relativement ancienne avec de gros chênes et hêtres. La riche sous-végétation offre une grande variété de plantes et d'animaux. Des oiseaux comme les piverts et les mésanges à poitrine bleue s'y sentent complètement chez eux.
Le Groot Moerven est un très joli étang, avec en été des centaines de nénuphars en fleurs.
