Zowel het Peertsbos als de omgeving van het Groot Moerven behoort tot wandelnetwerk Kempense Heuvelrug.
Het Peertsbos is een relatief oud loofbomenwoud met dikke eiken en beuken. De rijke onderbegroeiing zorgt voor een grote variatie aan planten en dieren. Vogels als spechten en boomklevers voelen zich hier helemaal thuis.
Het Groot Moerven is een zeer mooie waterplas, met in de zomer honderden bloeiende waterlelies.
