Ce vieux bras de la Leie est situé à Machelen-aan-de-Leie et est né après le redressement de la Leie dans les années 70. Ce vieux bras de la Leie est communément appelé Machelen Put, mais il possède une forte aura qui s'étend bien au-delà de Zulte. En été, il fait bon y "terrasser" et les événements "Tobbedansen" et "Leie-leute" y ont également lieu. En 2023, Machelen Put a servi de décor pour un événement d'hiver Eau Revoir avec une projection spectaculaire sur l'eau.
