Den gamle Leie-arm ligger i Machelen-aan-de-Leie og opstod efter at Leie blev rettet ud i 1970'erne. Denne gamle Leie-arm kaldes i folkemunde Machelen Put, men har en stærk tiltrækning langt uden for Zulte. Om sommeren er det dejligt at "terrassere", og også begivenhederne "Tobbedansen" og "Leie-leute" finder sted der. I 2023 var Machelen Put scenen for et vinterarrangement Eau Revoir med en spektakulær projektion på vandet.
