Cette chapelle se trouve au milieu d'un « rond-point » dans un petit parc. Un banc vous invite à vous agenouiller et à prier. Les arbres ont été récemment renouvelés (2020).

Le mot chapelle est dérivé du latin cappa = manteau, diminutif capella, et désigne le manteau de saint Martin , évêque de Tours. Saint Martin offrait son demi-manteau à un pauvre, le demi- manteau devint une relique et la pièce dans laquelle était conservé le manteau fut appelée capella ou chapelle par métonymie. À partir du VIIe siècle, chapelle devient le nom d'un (petit) lieu de culte.
