Fully est situé dans la vallée du Rhône, sur la rive droite du Rhône, entre Martigny et Saillon.
Fully était déjà habité dans les temps très reculés. Les vestiges et tombeaux retrouvés à Branson, Mazembroz, Chiboz, etc. sont là pour le prouver. Par exemple, on a découvert des vestiges datant du néolithique au lieu-dit Sex-rouge , au fond du village de Chiboz.
