L'Aletschhorn est un sommet des Alpes bernoises à 4 193 mètres d'altitude, il est proche de la frontière entre le canton du Valais et le canton de Berne en Suisse mais se trouve entièrement en territoire valaisan. Il domine le glacier d'Aletsch à l'ouest et son versant donne naissance au Mittelaletschgletscher qui rejoint le glacier principal plus bas à environ 2 300 mètres d'altitude. Il est réputé pour être le sommet le plus froid des Alpes.
