Couvet est une localité de la commune de Val-de-Travers et ancienne commune suisse du canton de Neuchâtel située dans la région Val-de-Travers.
L'Areuse traverse la commune de Couvet, cette rivière prend sa source au niveau de la commune de Saint-Sulpice et se jette dans le lac de Neuchâtel, entre Cortaillod et Colombier. L'Areuse recueille à Couvet les eaux d'un affluent, le Sucre.
