Bülkau est une commune de la Samtgemeinde Land Hadeln dans le nord-est du district de Cuxhaven en basse-Saxe.
La commune est située à environ 20 kilomètres à l'est de la ville de Cuxhaven, juste en dessous du niveau de la mer. Bülkau, un village en ligne prononcé le long de la L 144, a une superficie de 2322 hectares, compte environ 850 habitants, mesure environ 11 kilomètres de long et seulement 3 kilomètres de large.
