Le quartier de Sülz fait partie de l'arrondissement de Cologne-Lindenthal dans le sud-ouest de Cologne. Il est bordé au sud-est par les quartiers de Zollstock et Klettenberg, au sud-ouest par la commune voisine de Hürth-Efferen, au nord par le quartier de Neustadt-Süd à Cologne et au nord-ouest par le quartier de Lindenthal. Avec Klettenberg, Sülz a fusionné en raison d'un grand nombre d'installations communautaires telles que des écoles, des églises et des rues commerçantes.
