Le Mémorial de l'Holocauste, le Holocaust-Mahnmal ou le Mémorial aux Juifs assassinés d'Europe a été créé par l'architecte Peter Eisenman et l'ingénieur Buro Happold. Il se compose de 2 711 dalles en béton.
Il y a eu un peu de controverse liée à la peinture anti-graffiti : la société Degussa a fourni la substance anti-graffiti Protectosil utilisée pour couvrir les stèles. La société avait été impliquée de plusieurs manières dans la persécution national-socialiste des Juifs.
