Le tunnel de gypse de Neckarzimmern, dans le district de Neckar-Odenwald, est un vaste système de tunnels dans lequel environ 170 000 m² de surface et plus de 40 km de voies routières et ferroviaires sont utilisés par la Bundeswehr. La mine de gypse d’origine, la fosse de Hornberg, qui remonte au 18ème siècle, a déjà joué un rôle important dans l’économie de guerre des deux guerres mondiales. Certaines des routes d’accès sont situées directement sur la B 27.
