La Hohe Egge entre Bad Münder am Deister, Hameln et Hessisch Oldendorf dans le district de Hameln-Pyrmont en Basse-Saxe est avec un peu plus de 440 m d'altitude au-dessus du niveau de la mer la plus haute élévation de la chaîne de montagnes Süntel du Calenberger Bergland.
La Hohe Egge et le Süntel appartiennent aux montagnes/chaînes de collines les plus géographiquement proéminentes du nord de l'Allemagne en raison de leur hauteur de surplomb de plus de 300 m. Au sommet sud se trouve la tour d'observation Süntelturm avec un restaurant de montagne attenant, et au sommet nord une ancienne tour radar, vestige d'une ancienne base de l'armée américaine. Sur le flanc nord-nord-est se trouve le restaurant de montagne Eulenflucht et un peu plus bas, la taverne forestière Bergschmiede.
