L'église paroissiale catholique romaine Saint-Laurent à Windeck-Dattenfeld a été construite entre 1879 et 1880 à la place d'un bâtiment précédent démoli en 1878, sous la forme d'une église à deux tours dans le style néo-romain. En raison de sa façade à double tour, l'église est souvent appelée « la cathédrale de la Siegerland ». Les deux niveaux inférieurs du clocher nord proviennent de l'ancienne église paroissiale du 12e/13e siècle, qui était à l'origine probablement une simple chapelle, mais qui a été agrandie en une église à trois nefs d'une longueur d'environ 25,60 m et d'une largeur de 7,85 m, et qui était déjà dédiée à saint Laurent de Rome.
