La cathédrale Saint-Blasius est située à Saint-Blasien, dans le quartier de Waldshut, dans le sud de la Forêt-Noire. L’ancienne église abbatiale du monastère de Saint-Blasien a une hauteur totale de 62 mètres et a été consacrée en 1783. À l’époque, c’était la troisième plus grande église à dôme d’Europe. Avec une portée de 36 mètres, son dôme est actuellement encore l’un des plus grands d’Europe. L’architecte Pierre Michel d’Ixnard a construit le bâtiment de style tressé sur le modèle du Panthéon de Rome. L’église est utilisée par la paroisse catholique romaine de Saint-Blasius et est le lieu d’une série de concerts internationaux de la cathédrale qui a lieu chaque année en été.
