Le barrage de Perlenbach est situé près de Monschau dans la région urbaine d’Aix-la-Chapelle en Rhénanie-du-Nord-Westphalie. Sur le côté ouest du lac se trouve la Bundesstraße 399, tandis que sur le côté est, il y a un sentier de randonnée du barrage au Höfener Mühle. La structure endigue le Perlenbach. L’eau du barrage est utilisée pour fournir de l’eau potable et pour produire de l’électricité à partir de l’hydroélectricité. Il a été achevé en 1956 et est exploité par la Perlenbach Water Supply Association.
