La gare de Wuppertal-Vohwinkel est la gare la plus à l'ouest de la ville de Wuppertal et se situe dans le quartier de Vohwinkel. C'est une gare en coin et elle appartient à la catégorie de prix 3.
Le premier bâtiment d'accueil a été mis en service en 1841 par la société de chemin de fer Düsseldorf-Elberfeld. Avec le prolongement du chemin de fer Prince-Wilhelm, Vohwinkel est devenu un nœud ferroviaire en 1848. Le bâtiment, de style néoclassique, se trouvait dans le triangle de voies entre les lignes menant à Elberfeld et Essen, à l'ouest de l'actuelle Lienhardplatz et de l'actuelle Bahnstraße.
