La Kriemhildmühle est un moulin à vent historique à Xanten et le seul moulin du Bas-Rhin qui est en fonction tous les jours.
Le moulin a été construit dans le cadre de la fortification de la ville de Xanten sous la forme d'une tour de guet et de défense à la fin du XIVe siècle. Les tours, qui ont été fortement endommagées pendant la guerre de Trente Ans, qui a duré jusqu'en 1648, ont servi jusqu'à la fin de la guerre de Sept Ans en 1763 de logement pour les employés de la ville. Ainsi, la Kriemhildmühle était à ce moment-là désignée comme la tour des veilleurs de nuit, car les veilleurs de nuit de la ville y avaient été logés.
