Saviez-vous que le peintre Caspar David Friedrich s’est inspiré des paysages montagneux de la « Suisse saxonne » en Allemagne de l’Est, qu’il a lui-même explorés à pied ! S’il y a bien un tableau de Caspar David Friedrich dans notre conscience collective, c’est bien « Le vagabond au-dessus des brumes » : un homme en demi-manteau se tient au sommet d’une montagne, regardant une mer de brume basse. L’importance de l’œuvre a été débattue pendant deux siècles. Ce qui est certain, c’est que Friedrich s’est inspiré de ces paysages de montagne.
