La station de pompage de Petershörn draine la zone d’environ 33 100 hectares du Sielacht Bockhorn-Friedeburg via le Dangaster Tief dans la baie de Jade.
La station de pompage a été construite à Petersgroden de 1959 à 1962 et repose sur une fondation sur pieux composée de 900 pieux en bois de 7 à 11 m de profondeur. Il est équipé de quatre pompes à roues à aubes, qui peuvent transporter ensemble 48 m³/s. La technologie a été entièrement renouvelée entre 2010 et 2012 et une fonction de surveillance et de contrôle étendue a été installée. Depuis lors, les stations de pompage de Hiddels, Sanderahm, Güstfenne, Gooseschloot et Kalbschloot peuvent être contrôlées à distance de manière centralisée depuis le centre de contrôle de la station de pompage de Petershörn.
