Le parc Luisen est le plus grand espace vert de Mannheim. Il se situe sur la rive gauche du Neckar, à proximité de la ville, dans le secteur d'une ancienne méandre du Neckar et se compose aujourd'hui de deux parties : le parc Luisen inférieur est la partie la plus ancienne, accessible au public et considéré comme un monument de jardin. Le parc Luisen supérieur est utilisé à des fins privées. La société gestionnaire, Stadtpark Mannheim gGmbH, promeut l'offre de loisirs payante avec le slogan : « l'un des plus beaux parcs d'Europe ».
